Michelin Star Experience

When our son got married the ceremony and reception were at Daniels, a Michelin Two Star Restaurant, so I cannot say we have never been to one. A wedding is different though, as your thoughts are on the newly married couple and visiting with the friends and family that are attending. When we were in Barcelona, we decided to go to Xerta for lunch, a Michelin one star Restaurant. We opted for the Executive Tasting menu which offered appetizer, entree, and dessert plus two glasses of wine for each of us.

We were very pleased to sit down and be delivered a pre-appetizer plate with four luscious and beautifully presented raw seafood samples (sea urchin, razor clams, oyster, and scallop). We both ordered the same appetizer, a tomato and tuna salad. For entrees I ordered fish and Georgene ordered lamb chops. All were excellently prepared and presented. We followed with desserts which we shared and then were surprised by a extra offering of four tasty dessert samples. The cost was 45 Euros each plus a nice tip for the outstanding service. After the experience I could understand why a michelin star and how important the total package was from the minute you walked in the door until departing.

  1. Hi there this is kind of of off topic but I was wanting to know if blogs use WYSIWYG editors or if you have to manually code with HTML.
I’m starting a blog soon but have no coding knowledge so I wanted to get advice
from someone with experience. Any help would be enormously appreciated!

    1. Glad you are enjoying the journals and photos. My goal is to make a post every week. So please keep checking. Right now only the last five post are displayed but all posts are available in the monthly archives.
